XPO signs a partnership with Jennifer Janiec, entrepreneur and French truck racing champion
XPO, a leading provider of innovative and sustainable transport and logistics solutions in Europe, has announced a new partnership with Jennifer Janiec, two-time France truck racing champion, leader of the Janiec Racing Team and manager of Friaufer company.
Born in Friauville, Jennifer Janiec comes from a family passionate about motorsports. At the age of 15, she entered a driving school and, by the time she turned 17, she started to compete in Formula Renault single-seaters. In 2008, she established her career in truck racing and became the French champion in 2019 and 2022. Alongside her sports records, Jennifer began her entrepreneurial career: since 2014, she has managed the family company Friaufer, specialized in the recycling of iron and metals, and the demolition and treatment of hazardous materials. In 2020, she took over the management of the "Janiec Racing Team", a family racing team created in the 2000s by her father. Today, the team is made up of about twenty volunteers who are present throughout the season.
Bruno Kloeckner, managing director – France, XPO Logistics, said: “Jennifer is a model of excellence in our industry and beyond: she is a driver, a business owner, a France truck racing champion and a mother. Her professional and personal path is an inspiration to all our drivers, as well as a concrete demonstration that women have their place in the trucking sector.”
Jennifer Janiec said: "The importance of XPO in our sector and the values that this company stands for make it an ally of choice. The company's management team has proven time and time again that XPO wants to take concrete action to promote opportunities for women in our industry. This partnership is a way to join forces on this common goal, and I look forward to our collaboration."
Bruno Kloeckner and the XPO team met Jennifer Janiec during the 24 Heures Camions 2022 in Le Mans, as part of the first seminar organized by XPO for its female drivers, during which Jennifer Janiec shared her experience and her career path.
This partnership is fully in line with XPO's diversity and inclusion policy in France. As part of this collaboration, XPO intends to contribute to making the shared messages with Jennifer resonate even more widely, particularly those on the importance of making women count in a predominantly male sector.
