XPO, a leading provider of innovative and sustainable transport and logistics solutions in Europe, has integrated a new technological tool to improve the candidate experience and streamline its recruitment processes for some of the company's vacancies, such as traffic and administrative operators, as well as recent graduates for its XPO Graduates Programme. Through the use of artificial intelligence, XPO Logistics is integrating Andrea, its new HR chatbot, into its human resources department.

The tool is easy and intuitive to use. When the candidates apply, they receive a message to access an initial online interview with Andrea via chat, from any device. From there, the first selection begins, in which the AI applies the criteria and skills defined in detail by XPO's human resources team, and then moves on to the second phase, in which XPO's talent & acquisition specialists advance in the process of personalised interviews with the candidates best suited for the position.

Artificial intelligence provides the HR team with a complete database from which employees can access candidate reports, contact them and obtain other relevant details about their profiles. In this way, Andrea also increases the chances that the candidate's profile matches other vacancies in the company.

Mayte Galeano, human resources director - Southern Europe and Morocco, XPO Logistics, said: “At XPO, we continue to work to deliver a superior experience to our employees, a journey that starts with candidate selection. Digitalisation and the use of AI, with innovative solutions such as Andrea, allow us to start a more objective and diverse recruitment process, and then move on to personalised meetings with our teams to talk and find more easily the candidate that best fits the profile, the team and our company culture."

XPO is once again innovating in Spain with the use of technology throughout its value chain and is a pioneer in our country in the use of artificial intelligence as part of talent recruitment processes. The use of AI in the field of human resources is widespread in countries such as the United States, where 40% of companies already use it, compared to only 5% of companies in Spain.

XPO Logistics is strongly committed to creating an inclusive and equitable work culture to support the professional development of all colleagues, regardless of gender identity, nationality, age, education, professional interests, disability, ethnic and social experiences.
