XPO Logistics, a leading provider of freight transportation services, opened the doors of its sites in Bilbao and Valencia to two groups of master's degree students this month. Through the company’s regional partnerships, students gained a better understanding of transport and distribution operations, as well as a practical knowledge of XPO’s specific business activities.

On 11 July, the company’s Bilbao site, located in Santurce, welcomed a group of students from the Master’s Degree in Supply Chain Management programme of ICIL, the University of Mondragón and the Bilbao Chamber of Commerce.

On 15 July, students from the Master's Degree in Transport and Mobility Management programme of the Valencian Federation of Transport Businessmen and the Logistics Forum visited the XPO site in Valencia, in the town of Ribarroja del Turia.

Massimo Marsili, managing director – Southern Europe and Morocco, XPO Logistics, said: "It is an honour for us to open our doors to all students who want to learn more about our supply chain services, to complement their theoretical training. We will continue to work to attract talent to the transport and distribution sector, which is strategically important to the Spanish economy.”

XPO has committed to promote the training of young people in the fields of transport and distribution to help attract and retain talent to the industry. The company recently signed a collaborative agreement with Florida Universitària to promote the development of talent through a new Degree in Transport Management programme.
