XPO Logistics annonce la nomination de Mark Manduca au poste de Chief Investment Officer de GXO Logistics dans le cadre du projet de scission

XPO Logistics, Inc. a annoncé aujourd'hui que Mark Manduca deviendra le Chief Investment Officer de GXO Logistics, Inc., le projet de scission  du segment logistique de XPO. Mark Manduca rejoindra XPO en tant que Chief Investment Officer pour l’activité logistique, à compter du mois de mai. Il sera responsable de l'analyse des opportunités de croissance de GXO, de l'optimisation du portefeuille d'actifs de la société et de la supervision des investissements de ses fonds de pension au Royaume-Uni. Parallèlement à ces responsabilités, il jouera un rôle clé en veillant à ce que le portefeuille d'investissement de GXO bénéficie d'une audience mondiale. 
  
Depuis près d'une décennie, Mark Manduca a régulièrement dirigé les équipes de recherche transport les mieux classées d'Europe, comme l’a souligné l’Institutional Investor. En 2020, à titre individuel, il a été désigné par l’Institutional Investor comme le premier transport research analyst européen pour la huitième année consécutive.   
 
L'expérience de Mark Manduca au sein de banques d'investissement de premier ordre comprend Citigroup à Londres, où il a été directeur général de l’equity research et a dirigé les activités de recherche sur les transports. Auparavant, il a passé huit ans chez Bank of America Merrill Lynch, où il a dirigé les équipes de recherche sur les services aux entreprises, les loisirs et les transports. Il a débuté sa carrière en tant qu'analyste boursier "buy side" chez Insight Investment, une société de gestion d'actifs internationale. Mark Manduca est titulaire d'une maîtrise en langues modernes (allemand) de l'université d'Édimbourg, en Écosse, et est diplômé d'Eton College, en Angleterre.

Comme annoncé précédemment, XPO prévoit d'achever la scission de ses activités logistiques en tant que société indépendante et cotée en bourse au cours du second semestre 2021. En tant que deuxième plus grand fournisseur de logistique contractuelle au monde, GXO sera bien positionnée pour tirer parti des courants favorables dominant le secteur de la logistique tels que l’essor du e-commerce, la demande croissante des clients en matière d'automatisation, et une tendance grandissante vers l'externalisation des opérations de supply chain. Les opérations logistiques comptent actuellement environ 890 sites dans 27 pays.
