XPO, a leading provider of innovative and sustainable end-to-end logistics solutions across Europe, is organising a new iteration of its internal "Top Conducteurs" competition to reward its best drivers in France. The 15 finalists will compete in Le Creusot on 3-4 April on the technical track of the APTH, an organisation approved by the French Ministry of Transport that trains people to transport hazardous goods. 
 
Designed to recognise and promote the expertise and excellence of XPO driving teams, "Top Conducteurs" is a celebration of the company´s commitment to safety, eco-driving and performance. The competition is open to XPO Logistics drivers in France with at least one year of seniority. Following the call for applications last January, 15 finalists were selected by a committee of regional managers, company instructors and human resources managers.  
 
Each region of France will be represented in the finals. After taking written tests, the finalists will compete in eight practical manoeuvering, eco-driving and risk assessment evaluations designed to highlight their skills. The event will feature alternative fuel vehicles, including electric trucks. Focusing on the latest technology and safety features, the competition will also illustrate XPO Logistics' progressive approach to training and performance.

XPO Logistics provides its driving teams with ongoing professional training in health, safety and eco-driving, in particular through its “Plan Bonne Conduite” (“Good Driving Plan”). Introduced in 1990, the plan aims to improve driving behaviour and avoid risks, and is regularly updated to adapt to new driving habits and regulations. It defines procedures for recruiting, integrating and training drivers.  
 
Since 2017, workplace accident prevention has been led at the European level as part of a global policy entitled "Road to Zero". XPO’s commitment to this policy is reflected in:

• 5-day induction course with eco-driving training, which enables employees to better anticipate traffic hazards and avoid the risk of collision, while reducing the impact of driving on the environment
