XPO Logistics celebrates major Partnership Award win at the Motor Transport Awards
XPO, a leading provider of innovative and sustainable transport and logistics solutions in Europe, has won the Partnership Award with Saint-Gobain UK & Ireland at the Motor Transport Awards 2023, held at the Grosvenor House Hotel, London.
There are four key pillars underpinning the partnership: safety, sustainability, customer experience, and cost delivery, all of which create fundamental approaches that deliver the best working environment for colleagues of both companies and the best service for customers. For example, in 2022, there were more than 1.2 million working hours without a lost time injury, something both XPO and Saint-Gobain are proud of.
Brian Fisher, Head of Distribution for Saint-Gobain UK & Ireland, said: “We have partnered with XPO Logistics since 2018 and we have seen this partnership go from strength to strength. We are very focused on a partnership that delivers benefits for our customers and supports our purpose to make the world a better home. It is a testament to all those involved both at Saint-Gobain and XPO to have been recognised externally by the Motor Transport Awards with the Partnership Award. Colleagues in both companies show real commitment to improving what we do and how we do it each day, so this is firstly recognition for them and their commitment to constantly improving what we do for customers who rely on us.”
Dan Myers, Managing Director – UK and Ireland, XPO Logistics, said: “I am truly proud of the combined teams that brought this project to fruition. The results from the one team approach achieved are delivering meaningful improvements to the way we work. To win an award in such a strong field is recognition indeed of what a great initiative it is.”
XPO’s innovative service offerings include technology-enabled truckload, less-than-truckload, truck brokerage, managed transport, last mile, and freight forwarding. The company tailors its solutions to customer-specific needs across consumer, trade, and industrial sectors and world-class events.
