XPO Logistics, a leading global provider of transportation and logistics solutions, has been awarded a contract by Soprema, the leading French supplier of insulation and waterproofing solutions. XPO is responsible for managing all operations related to the transport of insulation products to Soprema’s customers in France: order consolidation, fleet selection, load planning and delivery tracking.

Working closely with Soprema, XPO developed a comprehensive solution that offers a high degree of technical and economic performance. This includes a tailor-made transport plan designed to ensure delivery to Soprema customers within five days of order receipt. In order to support this standard, XPO integrated powerful IT tools into the transport solution. Each stage of the process is therefore responsive to real-time requirements, working hand–in-hand with Soprema’s logistics system.

In addition, XPO fully digitized document flows throughout the delivery chain via its EDI system, which guarantees a secure information exchange between all parties involved. An online web transport system is specifically assigned to load planning, offering real-time control of vehicles and driver compliance with contractual delivery deadlines.

Luis Gomez, managing director of transport, XPO Logistics Europe, said, “Our technical innovation and the integration of digital tools drive performance and result in significant savings for our customers. Ongoing feedback and the digitization of information are also instrumental to the flexible solutions we have designed and implemented for Soprema.”

Gérald Royer, distribution manager, France at Soprema, said: “Fleet availability, tailored resources, team responsiveness, tracking tools and automatic feedback, as well as the ability to provide us with support outside France, are the key strengths that convinced us to continue placing our trust in XPO.”
