XPO Logistics, a leading provider of innovative and sustainable end-to-end supply chain solutions across Europe, has appointed Vincent Balcou as Director of Operations for Global Forwarding in France. In this new role, he will lead the development of air and ocean freight activities, with a focus on accelerating growth and integrating these services into the company’s wider European supply chain network. He reports to Bruno Kloeckner, who leads XPO Logistics in France.  

With over 30 years´experience in the Global Forwarding sector, gained within leading international groups, Vincent Balcou has held senior roles in operational management, commercial development and strategic leadership, both in France and internationally. He began his career with Maersk Line, before moving on to MSC and Dachser, where he held senior management positions. His in-depth expertise in air and sea freight flows, coupled with his strong understanding of customer expectations in complex environments, will be a major asset in supporting XPO Logistics' drive in this strategic area.

His appointment comes at a time when companies are facing increasing complexity in international flows due to geopolitical shifts, supply chain volatility, and rising expectations for sustainability and compliance. Balcou will be responsible for scaling XPO Logistics’ freight forwarding capabilities to respond to these challenges and deliver agile, end-to-end solutions for industrial and commercial customers. In France, XPO Logistics relies on a network of six offices dedicated to international transport, strategically located in Roissy, Le Havre, Marseille, Nantes, Lyon, and Strasbourg, ensuring nationwide coverage and strong positioning along key logistics corridors.
