16,000 convenience stores and other local outlets served across France

XPO, a leading provider of innovative and sustainable end-to-end logistics solutions across Europe, and Supergroup, a specialist in the distribution of food and non-food products (confectionery, cookies, pastries, groceries, beverages) to local shops across France, announced today that they have renewed their longstanding partnership.

Since 2012, XPO Logistics has been managing the transport and delivery of goods to 16,000 Supergroup customers in France. These palletized products are directed to various points of sale (supermarkets, vending machines, service stations), local authorities (school canteens, hospitals) and convenience stores (tobacco shops, superettes, bakeries, grocery stores).

XPO Logistics supports Supergroup in its sustainable approach to greener deliveries. Specializing in last-mile deliveries, XPO relies on cyclo-logistics in the Paris region. A new solution for decarbonisation in urban environments, cyclo-logistics uses bicycles for delivery, helping to increase delivery capacity, especially during peak periods. In addition, exchangeable and reusable pallets serve to reduce waste and limit the environmental impact of deliveries.
XPO Logistics and Supergroup are continuing their partnership based on trust and proximity. To be even more responsive, more than ten XPO Logistics employees are based in Supergroup´s Lisses (91) and Bourgoin (38) warehouses, so they can respond in real time to unforeseen events and requests from Supergroup's customers. Major challenges include the organisation of deliveries and relations with recipients: teams must anticipate and plan deliveries according to fixed days/schedules and within 24-48 hours.

Frédéric Aziron, Director of palletized and last-mile distribution - France, XPO Logistics, said: "Since the beginning of our collaboration, XPO Logistics has been able to adapt to and support Supergroup in the evolution of its organisation and meeting its goals. This involves our logistics expertise, but above all the agility of our teams in optimising delivery processes. We also share a commitment to environmental protection, which requires us to constantly pursue new initiatives to reduce our carbon footprint. We are committed to helping our customers decarbonise their businesses by offering alternative more eco-friendly delivery solutions."

Hervé Demaison, Managing Director of Supergroup, said: "The strength of our company lies in our ability to offer each customer a customized transport solution, whatever their type of business. Whether it's a bakery in the center of town, or a supermarket on the outskirts, or a service station on the freeway, we adapt to their profile with a dedicated product offering, appropriate packaging and 48-hour delivery to the last mile, a service we offer uniformly throughout France. To meet this level of demand, we need an agile and flexible logistics partner who can guarantee a high quality of service to ensure our customers' satisfaction, and that's exactly what we've found in our twelve-year partnership with XPO Logistics."
