XPO, a leading provider of innovative and sustainable end-to-end logistics solutions across Europe, announced today that Belinda Molenat has been named director of Contract Logistics in Southern Europe and Morocco. This appointment is intended to further strengthen the company’s integrated logistics service in the region.
Molenat has 15 years of experience in the logistics sector, including with several leading companies in the field. She is returning to XPO Logistics after working in the company’s Supply Chain business unit in 2017-2021, where she led important international Contract Logistics operations. Before joining XPO, Molenat served as chief operations officer of a technology startup in the retail sector. She holds an Executive MBA from the Escuela de Organización Industrial and a degree in Industrial Organisation Engineering from the Polytechnic University of Madrid.
Molenat will lead the XPO Contract Logistics service in Spain, Portugal, Italy and Morocco, in line with the company’s strategy of strengthening, scaling and providing excellence in its operations in this key region. She will play a critical leadership role in helping the company provide a complete range of solutions designed to fully address specific challenges in warehouse storage, ensuring added value, reliability and competitive advantage for its customers.
Molenat said: "I am very excited to return to XPO in this new professional phase, and to be part of the company's growth. We aim to expand our Contract Logistics presence in Southern Europe and Morocco, drawing on the agility of our teams and the innovative solutions that XPO excels at. We also aim to further strengthen our customers’ confidence in us by focusing on high value-added activities and end-to-end supply chain solutions.”
Contract Logistics: simplified warehousing excellence for end-to-end solutions
Molenat emphasised that XPO Logistics is "at the cutting edge", with innovation and technology that gives the company a clear advantage in the market. In this regard, the company's Contract Logistics service is conceptualised to improve the efficiency of customers' supply chains and their impact on the environment, with end-to-end solutions in Europe that include efficient and secure storage systems for goods, picking and customised handling.
XPO Logistics maintains a network of more than 70 specialised Contract Logistics facilities in Europe, with 24 facilities located in Southern Europe and Morocco.  The company offers its solutions to enterprises in various industries across the region, such as automotive, consumer goods, industry and lubricants, among others.
Massimo Marsili, Managing Director - Southern Europe and Morocco, XPO Logistics, said: “The appointment of Belinda will consolidate XPO's presence in the Contract Logistics segment through a strategy that combines highly skilled professionals, cutting-edge technology and strong financial capabilities. This allows us not only to improve and expand our operations, but also to ensure reliability and excellence at every step of the logistics process. This in turn enables us to provide our customers with end-to-end solutions to optimise their supply chains.”
According to Molenat, her objective in this new role is to build a model of scale and expand it throughout the southern European region, adopting XPO's successful organisational and methodological structure, as well as taking advantage of the company’s innovative and technological potential as a leader in the logistics industry.
