XPO Logistics has pledged to continue its support of Over The Wall as the UK children's charity prepares to welcome children and their families to its residential camps, after two years of online camps in the pandemic. The first residential camps of 2022 are set to open in Whitemoor Lakes, Staffordshire on 11 April, whilst the online camps will continue.

Over The Wall's UK camps create a safe environment where children with serious illnesses or disabilities can build confidence, supported by first-class medical care. XPO's donation of trucks and drivers will ensure that craft materials and games, secure lockers and medical supplies are picked up and delivered to each camp before it opens.

Dan Myers, managing director – UK and Ireland, XPO Logistics, said, "Every day, the Over the Wall team makes a genuine difference in the lives of kids with serious illnesses and disabilities. What they do improves lives, and seeing the camps restart will help so many families. As a long-term partner with Over the Wall, we are proud to play a small part in making a positive impact."

Kevin Mathieson, CEO of Over The Wall UK, said, "Over The Wall aims to help children reach beyond the boundaries of their physical challenges and discover a world of mischief, magic and new possibilities. XPO provides the logistics behind the magic and volunteers for the camp set-up and support for the weekend camps. We thank the XPO team for sharing our vision and values."

Over The Wall camps are also planned for 20 May (residential, Staffordshire); 28 May (virtual Camp in the Cloud); 11 July (residential, Scotland); 22 July (residential, Berkshire); 3 August (residential, Staffordshire); 15 August (residential, Berkshire); and 1 October, 15 October and 13 November (Virtual Camps in the Cloud).
