XPO Logistics, a leading provider of freight transportation services, has donated about 3.5 tonnes (3,500 kilograms) of food to support the Spanish Federation of Food Banks (FESBAL) during its annual campaign. The food collected by XPO volunteers will be distributed by FESBAL to 54 food banks in Spain.

Massimo Marsili, managing director – Southern Europe and Morocco, XPO Logistics, said, “It is important to our employees in Spain that our company stands in solidarity with FESBAL to help those most in need. This annual campaign has a strong social component and reflects values that we promote at XPO. At a challenging time like the present, we must help others as much as possible, and we are delighted to channel this support through our longstanding association with FESBAL”.

Miguel Fernández, managing director of FESBAL, said, "From the Spanish Federation of Food Banks and its 54 associated food banks, we are grateful to XPO and their volunteers for collaborating with us to reach as many people as possible. This is particularly essential in the face of the latest health crisis, when we must maintain the stocks in our warehouses in order to continue serving communities"
