XPO Logistics, a leading global provider of transport and logistics solutions, has organized a national food collection campaign in Spain in collaboration with the NGO Bancos de Alimentos. XPO employees have collected more than 4.5 tons of food donations for Bancos de Alimentos, a non-governmental food bank that works with a network of community organizations to help those most in need.

XPO volunteers carried out the campaign in 20 provinces in Spain over a two-week period. Employees at several XPO facilities collected foods classified as priorities by Bancos de Alimentos, such as canned goods, oil and other non-perishable items.

Massimo Marsili, managing director–transport for XPO Logistics in Spain, Portugal and Morocco, said: "We promote the value of solidarity within XPO and are proud of this initiative organized by our employees. Bancos de Alimentos offers an important service in many communities – we are happy to be able to help.”
