XPO Logistics, a leading global provider of transport and logistics solutions, has collected more than 1,000 toys and books during its annual toy drive in France in partnership with its less-than-truckload (LTL) transport agencies. XPO will donate the items, as well as trucking and pallet distribution services, to the Emmaüs association, which combats poverty and exclusion in France.

Last year, XPO supported Emmaüs in the city of Camon (Somme department) on the initiative of an employee volunteer. This holiday season, XPO volunteers expanded the toy drive to the company’s national LTL transport network in France. Donations collected at each LTL site were delivered to the nearest Emmaüs location.

Luis Gomez, managing director, transport, XPO Logistics Europe, said, “We encourage community and charitable participation at XPO and are proud of our volunteers. We’re eager to make a positive impact by supporting organizations such as Emmaüs France.”

Marie-Alix Pic, head of Emmaüs France partnerships, said, “Emmaüs succeeds in its mission solely through donations. The toys collected with the support of XPO volunteers contribute to the activity of the people we care for, and can find a new life as Christmas gifts.”
