XPO Logistics to Support Stokomani with Outsourced Supply Chain Management

XPO Logistics, a leading global provider of transport and logistics solutions, has been awarded a contract by Stokomani to manage the supply chain for its 100 stores in France. XPO has created customised solutions to support the development of the French clearance retail leader.

XPO will operate a 16,000 square meter warehouse in the Ile-de-France region, managing all phases of storage, fulfillment and distribution. An estimated 2 million parcels and 58,000 pallets will be received at the facility annually, and XPO will prepare an estimated 1.9 million outbound parcels and 50,000 pallets. Stokomani’s in-store product range changes rapidly based on its sales strategy and fluctuations in volume, requiring constant redesign of the logistics processes. This will be accomplished by XPO using its proprietary warehouse management technology.

Jean-Edmond Puig, supply chain and information technology director, Stokomani, said, “Stokomani has been on a strong growth path in France for more than a decade, and development has accelerated again over the past three years with the planned opening of nearly 25 stores this year. We are confident in our choice of XPO to handle part of our logistics flows. XPO’s commitment to service excellence and proximity with our Longueil Sainte Marie platform provide reassurance that we can meet the service requirements of our store network.”

Bernard Wehbe, XPO Logistics managing director, supply chain–France and Switzerland, said, “We are proud to partner with Stokomani and support their business development in France. Our team is committed to constantly enhancing distribution to stores through responsive operations management.”
